SOUNDWAVE Stripes is the first product to come out of a new collaboration between Offecct and designer Richard Hutten. Hutten is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers; and is known for design concepts such as »No sign of design«. When designing SOUNDWAVE Stripes, Hutten wanted to make sure he added some- thing special to Offecct’s collection of acoustic panels; which Hutten appreciates very much. The design that Hutten has created has a very flexible character and can be arranged in many different ways. This means that every interior where the panel is used can be unique. The flexibility of SOUNDWAVE Stripes thereby becomes a useful tool for the architect in making the interior design interesting and varied.
Read more about this productEver since Julia Läufer and Marcus Keichel started the Berlin-based design bureau Läufer + Keichel GbR back in 2003 their work – albeit architecture, corporate design or product design – has been characterized by an effort to create everyday objects with a human face. Now that Läufer + Keichel has started to work together with Offecct, the humanity of their design is evident in the first two products that comes out of this collaboration; the chair COUPE and the easy chair LAYER. When looking at COUPE one gets the impression the product is completely made of textile. In fact, COUPE can be described as a chair that has been dressed up, looking like it is wearing pants. To achieve this Läufer + Keichel and Offecct has utilized a special knitting technology.
Read more about this productNOBIS is a new Offecct table, which was origi- nally created for the luxurious Nobis Hotel in Stockholm. NOBIS is designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, who also created the interiors of the hotel. The table was produced by Offecct for the hotel’s Gold Bar, totally in brass. Both Claesson Koivisto Rune and Offecct thought the design was very successful, and decided to make a whole product line out of it. The form of the table is a round square, that is, there are no hard angles to the square that makes up the table top. This particular form is present all around us, but we rarely notice it. It can be found in for example soaps, spoons and old televisions. The form comes from a square, manipulated by a CAD software which adds a special formula to create the final shape. The design fits well in all kinds of environ- ments, and is inviting for many people to sit around the table at the same time. NOBIS comes in five different sizes, and can also be produced with the table top in the form of a square or a circle.
Read more about this productLast year, Patrick Norguet, one of the most interesting contemporary French designers, de- signed the comfortable chair DUO for Offecct. DUO WOOD is a natural continuation and variation of the previous product DUO, which has been given a softer side in this year’s version. The use of wood in the design makes it more sensual and gives a homelike feeling. DUO WOOD is a small chair with a clear language that is easy to read. The obvious design makes an impression with its multiple colors that DUO WOOD is offered in. Patrick Norguet is known for his exquisite synthesis of French elegance and Scandinavian sobriety. Norguet elegantly combines the Nordic identity privileging comfort, softness, nuances and the everyday life with French design history turned towards innovation, the industry and fabrication process.

Hederström is based in Malmö in southern Sweden, and she always tries to start out from a specific need in her designs. For GREEN DIVIDER Louise Hederström started out to find a way to work with greenery in an office environment, in order to create a room within a room. The form of GREEN DIVIDER is flexible and can be placed in different formations or by itself. The attractive graphical design of GREEN DIVIDER means that it works perfectly well with smaller plants; or in fact – even without plants. GREEN DIVIDER is a new product within Offecct’s O2ASIS concept. O2ASIS is a product line of design products that together with flowers and greenery contribute and bring value to any interior.

Following the very successful sound absorption panel SOUNDWAVE Geo, Ineke has designed a sofa system that can be used together in different modules, but also alone. The design of SMALLROOM is character- ized by a »box« on the side. The box includes options for power devices and can also be used as a working surface. The design contains just a few elements but provides for a lot of different opportunities and variations.

The easy chair LAYER is characterized by three layers that can be varied in terms of fabric and color to create a unique design. There are strong poetic aspects of LAYER, where the layers can be seen as flower petals, or as the different blue layers one sees when looking at mountains from a distance.

This comfort comes from the technology used in car seats, the secret being the use of a suspension system. FASTBACK has a rather soft design language, but remains alert and crispy at the same time. The chair has only rounded corners; on one hand as a part of the design itself, but on the other to enhance the comfort. Once you have to change position in the chair you are to encounter no hard and uncomfortable angles.

Read more about this productThe easy chair MOMENT is designed by inter- nationally renowned designer Khodi Feiz who works mainly on product and furniture design, along with graphic and strategic design. Feiz’s works is characterized by clarity, concept and context. Khodi Feiz got the original inspiration for MOMENT by looking at old wooden school chairs with tables attached on the side. This sparked the idea of giving a specific functional- ity to the chair. This resulted in an easy chair that supports different kinds of activities such as reading a newspaper, working, or having a light meal. The chair is made to invite the user to »take a moment«, whatever moment that might be.
